MARINE ANIMAL RESCUE
Apex Cetacea is one of the few organizations on the French coast with a suitable boat, a trained team, and specialized equipment for cetacean rescue.
EXPEDITION DAY
Our cetacean behavior specialist, accompanied by our marine biologist, will guide you throughout the sea expedition. As part of our scientific data collection, if an immersion takes place, you will be equipped and able to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Immersions are passive and not systematic; they occur only when conditions are favorable and within the framework of our study. The animals, naturally curious and playful, will decide for themselves whether to approach and interact.
Our mission is to continuously adapt to their behavior and willingness, always prioritizing their well-being, which remains our top priority.
THE BOAT
You will board the Pilot Whale, an eight-meter Rihb boat Zodiac, equipped with the latest boating safety technologies.
A qualified crew will be at your disposal during your expeditions and will teach you all their knowledge about dolphins, pilot whales, killer whales, sperm whales and many other species present in the Atlantic Ocean.
OUR RESEARCH
APEX CETACEA is an association dedicated to the study and conservation of cetaceans in the Bay of Biscay. We conduct research by implementing scientific monitoring of populations, their habitat, and the threats they face, in order to better understand them and contribute to their protection.
